Software Tester

At Inspire HUB, we are looking for a Software Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of our software solutions. The Software Tester will be responsible for identifying defects, validating new features, and ensuring that applications meet business and technical requirements before release. The role will involve close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and other team members throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to understand expected system behavior and testing needs.
• Design, document, and execute detailed test cases covering functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform manual testing of web, mobile, desktop applications and Odoo ERP systems.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools.
• Perform regression, retesting, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure that reported issues are properly resolved.
• Validate application behavior across different browsers, devices, operating systems, and environments when required.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Collaborate with developers and other team members to investigate and reproduce reported issues.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scenarios, test plans, and test reports.
• Contribute to improving testing processes, standards, and overall product quality.
• Support release validation and ensure that software meets defined quality standards before deployment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification (is a plus).

Technical Skills

Main

• Understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong knowledge of software testing fundamentals and testing techniques.
• Experience in writing and executing test cases and test scenarios.
• Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
• Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
• Experience with bug-tracking and project management tools such as Jira.
• Basic experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Ability to analyze requirements and identify positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios.

Extra

• Experience with test automation tools or frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Basic programming knowledge in Java, Python, JavaScript, or another programming language.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and testing integration within development pipelines is a plus.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Experience testing ERP systems, particularly Odoo, is a plus.
• Experience working with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs is a plus.
